The General Manager position is a critical, high-impact, role within the organization. This position is responsible for managing and directing all aspects of our Service Center. This position is ultimately accountable for the performance of the Service Center concerning safety, cost, quality, equipment performance, customer service, and human resource development.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day manufacturing operations and overall Service Center performance to include safety, production, quality standards, shipping, receiving, scheduling, and maintenance
- Lead and coach team members by providing support, facilitating effective performance management, cultivating a positive culture and working environment, driving business initiatives, and encouraging self-development
- Drive and implement all pertinent OSHA and internal safety standards and processes, develop safety inspections and audits, and promote safety goals and awareness with team members
- Ensure appropriate Food Safety ISO processes are maintained, and customer sanitation expectations are achieved
- Analyze workforce requirements and manage temporary staffing relationships
- Set annual budgets, monitor, and control all costs of operation
- Partner with the sales team on creative solution design and product testing to meet customer’s needs
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, implement improvement plans and manage change
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a similar operations position required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Operations, Business Management, or Engineering field
- Lean Process Improvement/ Six Sigma experience is a plus
- Strong safety and compliance knowledge and the ability to recognize/correct hazardous conditions and behaviors are required.
- Experience in food safety is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading and managing direct reports to include demonstrated success in coaching, driving results, delivering performance feedback, and motivating a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and flexible environment
- Proven results in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives
- Ability to understand and be able to interpret and analyze financial and operating statements
- Team player with the ability to influence, interface and gain credibility across different levels in the organization
- Travel: Up to 10%
