This is an entry level position that provides technical and client service support for the MWO Private Wealth Team. Responsibilities include preparation and follow-up for client meetings, data gathering, financial plan and scenario modeling, and presentation development. May participate in client meetings but will not have decision-making responsibilities. Works collaboratively with Wealth Planners, Portfolio Managers, Private Bankers, and Relationship Managers/Trust Officers. Plays an integral role in supporting the client experience with MWO Private Wealth and aiding the team in client relationship acquisition and growth.
- Primary duties are to assist Private Wealth Planners with preparation, updating, and delivering wealth plans (a/k/a financial plans), advisements, and wealth planning recommendations to Private Wealth clients and prospects.
- Gathering, organizing, and entering data into wealth planning software programs and tools.
- In coordination with other team members, analyzing data and creating wealth plans with actionable alternatives and recommendations for the client/prospect.
- Participating in all phases of client/prospect meetings: capabilities, goals and data discovery, internal pre-call meetings, presentation of wealth plans and recommendations, internal post meeting debriefs, updating existing plans.
- Setting in-person or virtual meetings with clients/prospects, Private Wealth team members, and other MWO Officers as appropriate.
- Responding to client inquiries including researching and answering client questions.
- Following-up with client/prospect on behalf of Private Wealth team to check in, maintain and develop the client relationship and follow-up regarding the team’s recommendations.
- Creating and organizing client/prospect virtual file folders.
- Assisting with updates and reports of Wealth Planning activities and results.
- Participates in call blitzes, sales meetings, profiling of customers and prospects, business development calls, referrals, tracking, submittal of reports, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Focus Areas
- Progressively learning and accurately using Private Wealth Planning software and tools used at MWO, including, ultimately the ability to makes changes and create new alternative scenarios in ‘real time’ collaboration with the Private Wealth Team members during client/prospect meetings.
- Develops and maintains subject matter expertise in financial planning topics.
- Supports growth of department by ensuring excellent client and team member communication and follow-up.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post high school education and related work experience
- In addition to education in the field of Finance, Accounting, Math, Actuarial Sciences, or related disciplines, prefer certifications (or in the process of obtaining certifications) such as CFP®, AWMA®, Certified Paraplanner, or willingness to obtain, is a plus.
