Job description

UTAC is a market-leading international group in digital & sustainable mobility, customisable testing solutions, customisable testing systems, vehicle engineering, homologation, regulatory advice & expertise, certification, training, corporate events and classic & sportscars festivals.

The Group provides services and systems to customers in the various sectors: mobility, transport, tyre, petrochemical, agriculture and defence industries. Job Description

• Quality assurance of software and new automation platforms
  • Controlled field verification of code to requirements
  • Issue replication and reporting
  • Provide feedback to software group for improved user experience
  • Assist in generating software requirement documents
• Interface with customer engineering for developing testing applications. Responsibilities include:
  • Creating custom CAN/LIN/FlexRay protocol gateways between UTAC software platform and customer UUTs
  • Create scripts in Vector CAPL and ICS Vehicle spy to simulate vehicle environment required for testing
  • Proactively work during the quoting process to identify required equipment and support for new projects
  • Interact with customers for requirement specifications.
• Create ‘Best method’ procedures for internal and customer use, such as:
  • Profile writing; standard, tips and tricks, default examples
  • Standardized start-up, shutdown and soft stop functions and examples
  • Create documents and also lead training sessions and customer workshops
• Liaison between software development and commissioning/systems/testing groups
  • Attend kick off meetings, and work with PMs on new control and automation IP
  • Train commissioning personnel using developed documentation and on-site support as needed
• Provide on the job training of all systems for customers and end users

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, software engineering, computer science, or 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of control components (sensors, motor control devices, DAQ systems)
• LabVIEW programming experience
• Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and/or VehicleSpy knowledge
• Strong problem solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer interfacing skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
