Job description

Plumbers Supply Co, a family-owned business celebrating 103 years in 2024, has an immediate opening for an Inventory Specialist/Cycle Counter at our Bishop Lane Branch in Louisville, KY. As a Cycle Counter, the ideal candidate plays a vital role by performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all inventory is properly verified and is reflective of reported inventory.

Schedule is 3rd Shift Monday-Friday 10pm - 6:30am (with possible required overtime)(hrs can be subject to change).

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Complete physical inventory counts as required by company policy.
• Report inventory balances and cycle counts in the ERP and WMS system. Reconcile inventory records for a complete and accurate count.
• Repackage and relabel any material that the box has been compromised.
• Straighten shelves and bins while cycle counting.
• Maintain product identification and location labels.
• Ensure bins are accurate.
• Replenish primary bins from overstock when necessary.
• Operate forklift and other materials handling equipment.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople, customer traffic, and employees.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Prior experience with WMS Systems
• Full knowledge of standard practices in inventory control, and cycle counting.
• Plumbing/HVAC Product Knowledge Preferred
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Will seek out answers when needed.
• Math skills to facilitate accurate and quick assessment of data.
• Experience working with a computer and Microsoft Office Products (email, Word, Excel)
• Works with little supervision. Ability to proof and verify work.
• Excellent Time Management Skills
• Does not allow distractions to interfere with work completion.
• Dependable Attendance.
• Stamina to Stand & Walk for entire shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation. The candidate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to more than 75 lbs with assistance. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and kneel and bend.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse
