Job Overview
Support Manufacturing Facility and Laboratory staff by managing all aspects of inventory including ordering, staging, shipping and cycle counting inventory. Ability to operate in a GMP environment.
Responsibilities
- Proven ability to handle various assignments and organize workload to meet timelines.
- Adhere to, but not limited to: DEA, EPA, FDA, cGMP regulations and internal SOPs as they relate to the operation of the warehouse facilities.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety rules and practices.
- Maintain inventory on designated supplies, chemicals and other items for production.
- Forklift certified. Able to safely operate forklift.
- Assist with cycle count for material inventory.
- Raw material and laboratory receipt (receiving in inventory (paper and/or electronic) and department placement.
- Follow GMP regulations/procedures when sampling (proper use of sample rooms, logbooks, and gowning).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Clean and organize warehouse.
- Must possess strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- This position works with and handles hazardous materials and waste. This person has the appropriate qualifications to read, understand, apply and communicate written and verbal instruction regarding handling and managing hazardous wastes. Training is required within six months of assuming duty and once a year thereafter.
- This position is responsible for recognizing emergency situations concerning hazardous materials and wastes.
Infrequent Functions:
- Assist in the Processing of Shipments (ex. Fed Ex program and packaging).
- Assist with GMP shipment preparations.
- Maintain and/or order approximately 50 general chemicals and approximately 250 standard supplies for laboratories.
- Assist with the staging of materials for production.
Qualifications/Skills
- Forklift Certified
- Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations preferred
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Experience with warehouse management system preferred - SAP Preferred
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years chemical warehouse experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations preferred
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Experience with warehouse management system preferred - SAP Preferred
- Some active work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or the amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The daily work is performed is primarily in a warehouse setting. Walking and standing are required regularly.
- A Chemical Manufacturing environment.
Involves regular use of basic PPE (personal protective equipment) such as gloves and safety glasses.
