Daily Responsibilities
- Work to communicate the proposal in various ways, including graphic layouts and PowerPoint presentations.
- Develop a template for all future proposals or ensuring that an established template is followed.
- Work with the proposal team to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Responsible for communicating the progress of proposals to management.
- Allocate space for the text, photos, and illustrations that make up a story
- Create and format placemats, flyers, newsletters, brochures, and more.
- Find and edit graphics, such as photographs or illustrations
- Use company templates and custom-designed PowerPoint layouts
- Import text and graphics into desktop publishing software programs
- Format copy and graphics into design templates
- Design graphics for traditional and online advertising, social media, and promotions
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve document or file issues
- Select formatting properties, such as text size, column width, and spacing
- Proofread final copy and edit graphics
- Finalize formatted documents for printing or electronic publication
- Approve final versions submitted by staff
Required: Years of Experience (min)
- 5+ years of experience and familiarity with Federal IT proposal support and corporate documentation.
Required: Degree
- Associate’s degree required; BA/BS preferred

Required Skills:
- Graphic Design – Familiarity with the principles and best practices of graphic design to ensure that page elements work together and are laid out attractively
- Spatial Reasoning – Involves spatial reasoning, particularly when placing page elements like text blocks and graphics on the page
- Editing – Have some familiarity with editing text since they may need to make changes to words on the page throughout the process
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with writers, editors, and managers. The ability to collaborate across teams is vital in this role
- Communication – Effectively communicating with team members and clients is also important in this role, from the initial client meeting to delivering updates throughout the publication process
- Attention to Detail – This role requires a great deal of attention to detail, particularly when reviewing proofs and checking to ensure that published materials are free of errors
