Job Title: Credentialing Coordinator (Remote)

Location: Savannah, GA 31404

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. EST

Duration: 4 12 Months (Temporary Position)

Job Summary: The credentialing specialist supports the credentialing review process, ensuring compliance with medical staff standards and regulations. This position involves managing the entire credentialing process, from pre-application to board approval, coordinating privilege requests, and providing verification of facility affiliation. The specialist acts as a resource for medical staff members, ensuring confidentiality and timely provision of vital information.

Responsibilities:

• Process pre-applications and review completed credential files for Board approval.

• Coordinate individual privilege requests and address related issues.

• Maintain and update approval and status of privileges in the database.

• Provide verification of facility affiliation to external entities.

• Adhere to Memorial Health Compliance Program, policies, and procedures.

• Maintain confidentiality in handling highly sensitive matters.

• Serve as a resource for medical staff members, providing guidance on privilege, credentialing, and practice issues.

• Stay updated on credentialing standards and Joint Commission medical staff standards.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 5 years of experience in credentialing and/or medical staff services within a healthcare setting.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in the medical staff services field.
• Preferred certifications: CPMSM or CPCS through the National Association of Medical Staff Services.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission credentialing and medical staff standards.
• Proficiency in Cactus, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
