Job description

Provide comprehensive pediatric audiology services for identification, diagnosis, consultation and rehabilitation to patients with communication deficits resulting from hearing impairment.

 

Perform audiometric tests and evaluations designed to determine medical diagnoses to include: audiograms, immittance measures, OAEs, VRA, play audiometry, and auditory evoked potentials.

 

Operate audiometer, tympanometer, OAE, and evoked potential machines.

 

Document and communicate the interpretation of test results.

 

Counsel parents of hearing impaired children regarding educational and psychosocial issues associated with hearing loss.

 

Maintain accurate, complete, and timely report documents.

 

Perform other duties as assigned.

Master’s degree in Audiology plus ASHA/ABA certification. One year of clinical pediatric experience or specialized clinical 4 th year training is required. Doctoral (Au.D./Ph.D.) degree in Audiology is preferred. Virginia license is required.
