Cooper University Health Care (CUHC) is seeking an energetic, forward thinking Addiction Medicine physician for the role of Medical Director for the Center for Healing.

The Medical Director will have clinical and administrative responsibilities with the Center for Healing including patient access and patient throughput, provider documentation and billing, quality of services delivered, policies and procedures, and recruiting new physicians.

Cooper’s Addiction Medicine division is an interdisciplinary, medical specialty program within our university healthcare setting. Our division provides both inpatient and outpatient specialty care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders through a variety of programs including: a hospital consultation service, inpatient detoxification/stabilization and residential programs, emergency department and hospital bridge programs, community paramedicine and field buprenorphine initiation, jail transition care, outpatient group and specialty medical visits, a low barrier walk-in clinic, a wrap-around perinatal SUD program, dual diagnosis psychiatric and addiction medical care, integrated addiction and infectious disease care including HIV and hepatitis C treatment, and other innovative community work. We run several clinical innovation, education, and research programs.

The successful candidate should have a strong track record of successfully leading projects as well as collaboration with stakeholders. The successful candidate will receive competitive compensation and recommendation for an academic rank at CMSRU commensurate with the individual’s training and experience.
