Engineering Manager responsibilities include directing, leading and managing the technical activities in one or more engineering disciplines.  You will evaluate final results of research and development projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives. You will select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

You will be part of a multi-discipline team developing front-end modules for the high volume and fast paced cellular handset market. You will have opportunities to participate in all phases of product development, including product definition, architecture, system budget, transistor-level circuit design, MCM design, layout supervision, lab debug and production support.  #LI-DB1

Job Responsibilities

• Lead RF front end module design using EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADS, and HFSS
• Create and execute product development plans including design, simulation, layout, and verification testing
• Plan and support test and measurement for evaluation of prototype designs. Document and summarize design data to support team members
• Provide technical leadership in all phases of product development such as product definition, feasibility, and product design
• Bring products from conception to full production release
• Manage, train, and mentor a team of RF design engineers
• Encourage both technical and professional development, improve design flows and processes
• Conducting peer reviews of designs, including expected and/or actual results

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering + 8 years experience, MSEE  + 6 years or PhD + 3 years
• Relevant experience in multi-chip module (MCM), PA, LNA, RF switch design or passive circuit design such as integrated passive device, coupler and balun.
• Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/, 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum/EMX/Sonnet, HFSS/CST and Cadence and ability to translate between the translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance.
• Strong lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning and product troubleshooting.
• Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP3, VSWR, NF, power gain)
• Good communication skills both verbal and written and logic reasoning skills, capable of breaking down complex problems, setting priorities, report progress and execute to schedule
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, Cadence

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $110,600 - $210,600per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
