Job description

Title: DevOps Engineer

Are you a skilled problem solver with a passion for streamlining software development and deployment processes? We're seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our development workflows, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline development workflows, improve release cycles, and ensure seamless delivery of software solutions.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to provision and manage cloud infrastructure resources efficiently.
- Configure and maintain cloud services and platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to support development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and optimize resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to detect and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for securing infrastructure, applications, and data across the development lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with DevOps tools, practices, and trends, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our technical capabilities and development workflows.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in DevOps, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management tasks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI for automating software builds, testing, and deployment.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet), and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with cloud services and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
