These positions are long-term, with opportunities for upgrades, conversion to full-time hire, and skill training programs offered each year.REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, computer, or control)
- 3+ years of technical experience
- Programming experience required (PLC programming, C#, Python, HTML/Javascript, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with highly automated equipment technologies (press/torque, robots, automated axis systems, vision systems, and feeding systems)
- Experience with data analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry (preferred)
- Ability to read and define electric drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic plans
- Experience with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS)
- Project leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads to meet established targets
- Capacity to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self-initiative
- Experience utilizing problem-solving techniques to solve complex manufacturing issues (Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 whys)
- Ability to travel (including internationally) for training, projects, and IPN activities
RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the modification and troubleshooting of existing software applications and PLC programs
- Perform investigations, trials, and improvements in manufacturing processes
- Set up machines and devices to prepare investigations
- Create and maintain manufacturing and training documentation (process control documents, standard work instructions, etc.)
- Mentor hourly skilled associates in the proactive maintenance of assigned processes, including the development of qualification cards and other training material
- Support and perform PPAP activities related to assigned processes
- Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet Policy Deployment objectives
- Actively participate in the daily management of the area using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other analytics and data to meet targets and derive measures to improve performance continuously
- Perform other duties as assigned
