We are currently searching for a dedicated Quality Leader to join our team.

Olympic Industries began operations in 1959 with the goal of becoming the most reliable and trusted source for steel fabrication services in the area. By combining the finest metal-working craftsmen available and state of the art fabrication equipment, OI's goal is to constantly improve and evolve while earning customer respect along every step of the way.

Today, Olympic Industries has a combined production area of over 50,000 square feet, with state-of-the-art laser, punch press, press brake, welding, and milling machinery. Our extensive production equipment capabilities are complimented by our skilled workforce, and commitment to providing our customers on-time, turnkey solutions.

Our unique work schedule sets us apart - we operate Monday through Thursday, with four 10-hour workdays and no weekends! This schedule allows our team members to enjoy an extended weekend, fostering a healthier work-life balance.

What is a Quality Leader ?

A Quality Leader is a key role responsible for overseeing and maintaining high standards of quality within an organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire a quality assurance team. The Quality Leader will develop and implement quality control processes, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company standards. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions to enhance overall quality performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of quality excellence. Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering products that meet or exceed customer expectations are essential for this leadership role.

In this role, you will:

Challenge established methods and ideas to stimulate progressive results

Define, develop and recommend quality procedures, specifications, testing, and inspection methods in alignment with customer and certification requirements

Assist all teams with technical questions or concerns

Ensure the Quality Management System is proactively managed

Work with all functional areas to improve safety, reduce scrap, minimize cost, maximize productivity, achieve organizational objectives, and ensure continual improvements

Handle the investigation of operational issues

Collaborate on the design and layout of equipment, materials, and workspaces to maximize efficiency and utilization

Inspection of raw, in-process (WIP) and finished goods inventory parts to determine if they meet customer specifications

Train employees on quality control processes and procedures

To succeed in this role, you must:

Have experience implementing and/or successfully maintaining ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and certifications

Have demonstrable knowledge and experience with Manufacturing Process tools/methodologies, including Process Change Assessment, Risk Management (Hazard Analysis), Process FMEA, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Process Capability, Process Control, Process Qualification, Design of Experiments, Gauge R&R, and Inspection/Test Method Validation

Be well-versed in Quality tools such as Lean manufacturing, TPE, Mistake proofing, Kaizen, and 5-S

Have strong knowledge of data analysis

Have strong computer skills; skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Experience with Unipoint and JobBoss a plus

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
