We are seeking a Senior Associate Attorney  to join our  Commercial Lending and Real Estate Law practice area. We represent business owners, buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, developers, lenders, and borrowers in all types of commercial real estate, business, and banking transactions.  We are seeking a candidate who has the ability to simultaneously manage a large variety of assignments independently and works quickly and effectively under pressure.

We are open to on-site, hybrid, and remote schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of commercial real estate lending transactions independently, from inception to closing, for Real Estate lenders and clients.
• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of finance transactions, including real estate acquisition, mezzanine loans, bridge loans, and loans secured by corporate assets, franchise licenses, ground leases, and other collateral.
• Manage preparation and negotiation of contracts for the acquisition, sale and/or exchange of property; the preparation of easements, dedications, and subdivisions.
• Review commitment letters, term sheets, fee letters, credit agreements, and ancillary loan documents.
• Review title reports, real estate surveys, and oversee title clearance.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding clients' business objectives and providing tailored legal advice.
• Lead and mentor junior associates and support staff, managing transaction workflows.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Virginia, Maryland, or DC State Bar.
• A minimum of three (4) years of substantial Commercial Lending and Real Estate Law experience, including contracts, finance, private equity, and capital.

• Demonstrated expertise in commercial Real Estate and Construction experience, including Acquisitions and Dispositions, Construction Contracts and related Agreements, and Commercial Leasing.

• Experience in banking and finance law a plus, representing banks, developers, builders, and real estate owners in all aspects of secured lending transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
