CareSTL Health is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team!
POSITION SUMMARY: The Psychiatrist Medicine Physician diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems of adult and geriatric patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Psychiatrist Medicine Physician may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.
- Provides for the clinical care including but not limited to : acute and chronic medical and health maintenance care of adult and geriatric patients ; p rovides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis.
- Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program and assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan especially in internal medicine protocols
- Practices Evidence Base Medicine and Patient Centered medicine.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (here) for: Clinical documentation; order and review labs and radiology and clear all the tasks in a timely manner per organizational policies.
- Maintain the required Medical Licenses, Certifications and Credentials that are required
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- MD / DO from an Accredited University
- Completed ACGME Accredited Residency Training in Psychiatry.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified as a Psychiatrist Physician licensed to practice in the State of Missouri
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective clinical and communication skills
Additional Information:
- Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
