Staff Accountant Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
Staff Accountant Hours : Normal business hours (Full Time)
Staff Accountant Qualifications :
- College Degree in Accounting
- Proficient in basic GAAP standards
- 2+ years accounting experience preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in the use of Google Suite
Staff Accountant Responsibilities :
- Supports the CFO and Finance Team with reporting and presentation needs.
- Assists in the month-end closing process, including generating analyses and required journal entries, so that financial statements accurately reflect activity.
- Assists with preparing journal entries for deferred revenue, accrued expenses and other standard accounting adjustments as needed.
- Assist with the analysis of balance account reconciliations on a monthly schedule and detailing the composition of those accounts.
- Oversees the Organizational Accounts Receivable and follows up on outstanding items as needed.
- Reviews system credit account to ensure transactions are being properly recorded and reconciled monthly.
- Functions as backup to our Cash management and deposit processes - especially in your home branch.
- Functions as backup to Payroll Financial Analyst.
- Functions as backup to departmental administration.
- Performs monthly reconciling and reporting duties relating to specific grant funds.
- Consistently looks for ways to improve systems and controls.
- Assists with the budget process.
- Assists with the year-end audit.
- All other duties as assigned.
