Photographer/Videographer & Visual Storyteller

Location: This is a hybrid job ( virtual and on location when required)
Travel Required: Applicant must live in the Chicago area
Position Type: This is a work-exchange | Internship position with pay and free tuition to the program.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an artistic, creative soul with a healer’s open heart gifted with filmmaking skills. We are seeking a talented and creative Videographer & Visual Storyteller to join our online education program. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling video content that effectively tells our brand’s story, engages our audience, and supports our educational goals
Responsbilities:
· Content Creation: Create engaging video content for our online education program, including educational videos, promotional materials, and social media content.
· Storytelling: Use visual storytelling techniques to convey complex educational concepts in an accessible and engaging way.
· Production: Handle all aspects of video production, from conceptualization to post-production.
· Collaboration: Work closely with our content team to align video content with our overall content strategy.
· Quality Control: Ensure all video content meets our high standards for quality and aligns with our brand identity.
· Analytics: Monitor and report on the performance of video content, using insights to inform future content creation.
· Creatively shoot, artfully edit, and promptly deliver live documentary-style video content for an African Spirituality course.
· Livestream and upload to our website platform promptly, with accuracy and proficiency.
· Prepare and upload videos for various social media platforms. Create promos, reels or other creative online projects as needed
Qualifications:
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Must have excellent time management skills without the need for micromanagement.
· Have bilingual skills (English, French, Spanish is a plus but not necessary)
· Has a great attitude and takes constructive criticism with ease
· Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
· Highly proficient in filmmaking processes such as lighting, lens selection, montage and composition.
· Bachelor’s degree in film, Media, or related field preferred but not required
· Proven experience as a Videographer or similar role
· Strong storytelling skills and the ability to convey complex concepts in an engaging way
· Proficiency in video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Fluent with documentary and narrative-styled filming.
· Efficient, professional, punctual, and dependable
