Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Paralegal to join their Legal Team!
Our Team This role will report to Senior Counsel and be based at the headquarters in Wichita, KS.
What You Will Do - Assist attorneys in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents, such as contracts
- Draft real estate agreements, such as easements, leases, and ROW agreements
- Prepare real estate closing documents and work directly with title companies
- Analyze real estate title matters, including property legal descriptions
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys
- Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and databases
- Coordinate and assist with document production and discovery processes
- Communicate with clients and external stakeholders in a professional manner
- Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - Bachelor's degree OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in a professional office environment
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and understanding real estate documents
- Experience using Microsoft Office Word and Outlook
- Experience in written communication and reviewing documents for accuracy, including correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Experience managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks
What Will Put You Ahead - Experience in commercial real estate transactional work in a law firm, title company, business, or similar
- Experience drafting deeds, leases, easements, purchase & sale agreements, or title documents
- Experience independently initiating and successfully completing tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience performing jobs requiring analytical thinking skills
- Passion for research
