Senior Product Engineer – Automotive Lighting

Hillsboro, NH

OSRAM Sylvania has an exciting opportunity to be a Product Development Engineer in the Hillsboro, NH Automotive Lighting Division headquarters. We are looking for a technically driven individual to work with a small engineering team to develop, improve, and grow our already industry-leading automotive lighting product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for Project Management, Technical Design, Product Testing, and Production Launch support for automotive lighting products. Projects will include leading and supporting multiple cross-functional teams related to new products, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Projects will focus on Halogen (Forward Lighting), Incandescent (Auxiliary Lighting), and new LED automotive lighting technologies. The individual will learn quickly in a small team environment and must be able to adapt in an exciting fast past environment responsible for material selections, mechanical analysis, tolerance studies and failure analysis.

Position Requirements:

• Strong Project Management and Organization Skills
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and applications
• Strong Leadership Skills
• Ability to complete multiple tasks effectively, including work prioritization and program management to specifications, schedules and budgets in a result-oriented environment
• Must have excellent communication skills to explain product design and related testing to all levels and technical abilities
• Must be enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, can-do attitude, resourceful problem solver, comfortable in a fast-moving and highly dynamic environment

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
• Competency in applied statistical methods (Six Sigma), Data analytics, Lean techniques preferred
• CAD design experience or optical simulations a plus
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PP with strong presentation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
