Description
Become a valued team member of our well-established Family Medicine practice. Rocky Mountain Primary Care is seeking a
Medical Assistant (being BILINGUAL-Spanish is desirable) with
one year of experience for our
Lakewood location. National Certification is not required but is a PLUS. There is a pay differential for candidates with national certification. You will be an important member our Patient Care Team which consists of the Provider, Receptionists, Referrals Coordinator and other staff members. The Care Team is responsible for the delivery of "patient centered" care and works to achieve the patient's healthcare and self-management goals, as well as quality improvement goals as set forth by the practice. This is a full-time position, Monday- Friday and some Saturdays.
Early mornings and later afternoons may be required (ranging between 7:00am to 6:00pm). We offer a competitive benefits package and a wage that is commensurate with your experience. This position requires that you have great attention to detail and can accurately and quickly enter detailed patient information in to the EHR. Must be able to perform well under pressure and enjoy a very fast pace.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: - Rooming patients
- Taking vital signs
- Giving injections
- Drawing labs
- Assisting with minor office procedures
- Entering data into patients' electronic medical record
Requirements
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES* will meet all of the following requirements:
- One year of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in a Family Practice setting
- National Certification is preferred but not required (pay differential)
- Experience in performing EKGs, PFTs and immunizations preferred
- Experience using electronic health records ( NextGen experience is a plus!)
- Enthusiastic, have a positive attitude and a great work ethic
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment and work as part of a care team
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Detail oriented and a problem solver
- Attention to detail
- Flexible
- Ability to take direction from, and work well with, others
- Ability to work in occasionally stressful situations
