Job description
We are looking for a Business Development Associate who will report to the Director-Integrated Solutions and will be accountable for the complete business development life cycle from lead generations through to contractual negotiation and closing. This will involve building and maintaining relationships with our strategic partners and clients, developing new opportunities within the designated market, and participate to estimating and the preparation of large tenders within the various divisions of the Direction
YOUR MISSION:
- Secure contracts and developing significant leads for the business units within the Resources Direction
- Increase brand awareness for COMSIP/MENTOR/Training divisions
- Identify projects where training and resourcing division can position themselves strategically
- Listen to the market and identify how we can evolve/optimize our solutions proposition to Clients
- You will report to the Resources Director directly but also, will have a supporting role to all the business units within the Resources Direction
- The position is based in the UK (70% UK 30% other)
- The position will involve travel at least 60% of the time internationally (Americas through APAC)
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- The development of an annual market and business development plan in accordance with the company’s commercial strategy, identify and prospect new markets (customer, country, activity/discipline)
- Developing new and maintaining existing trusted relationships with existing and new customers
- Assist in developing commercial strategy for Direction
- Work with international business units (Mentor US/UK/APAC) in client relationships
Updating and reporting on opportunities monthly
MANAGING TENDERS
- Lead and/or support preparation and coordination of large tenders
- Planning, preparation and delivery of tenders, bids, and proposals for new business in line with business requirements
- Define the offer delivery strategy (commercial, financial, partnership)
- Provide solutions adapted to customer expectations (payroll management, placement, technical assistance)
- Respond to referral requests (Clients and Projects) or prequalification’s
CONTRACTS COORDINATION
- Secure annual contracts for the Resources Direction (objectives to be mutually agreed)
- Establishment of contracts and commercial arrangements that best represent the interests of the business
- Work in unison with other members of the team to develop sales plans, help identify opportunities and win business
- With the legal department: analyze contractual, financial and tax risks in international business (creation of structure, taxation, contract, etc.)
- Guarantee compliance with international legislation by the Company with each new case
MARKETING
- Lead Online Strategy, marketing initiatives
- Explore and execute marketing channels
- Manage Direction websites and brand presence
- Planning and execution of promotional activities and events
- Newsletters
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Senior – Minimum 7 years working in a client interfacing capacity
- Strong knowledge/understanding of the oil and gas services/solutions market
- Strong knowledge/understanding of commercial strategy
- Experience working within the Energy Industry (5+ years) Renewable energy and Oil and gas
- Experience working in an international context – engaging with and developing client relationships in different cultural settings
- Excellent knowledge of the UK Marketplace and strong comprehension/experience within the global context (APAC and Americas)
