About the Role The
Communications Manager reporting to the leader of Corp Development will coordinate a range of various governance and communication initiatives within the home office. The role will oversee the compilation, coordination, and execution of the Board of Directors meetings, and coordinate high-level commercial operations governance mechanisms, and other critical governance activities. The role will include a range of internal and external communications responsibilities. The role will include social media management and monitoring, internal communications responsibilities, including internal postings and material, and the internal and external website. This individual is part of the governance and communications team and will take on additional activities and responsibilities as projects and assignments arise. Close partnership with senior leaders and close attention to detail required.
Responsibilities - Coordination of Board of Directors and other internal governance and communication activities within the home office
- Coordinate commercial operations governance mechanisms including annual offsite strategy and planning session
- Manage internal and external website, digital content, loading, and refresh material
- Build and maintain content library and approved photo repository
- Internal communications support for human resources, marketing, and leadership team members as applicable
- Social media monitoring and management and postings for corporate social media channels and executive profiles
- Close attention to detail ensuring approved copy and materials are error-free and compliant
- Coordinate Press Release activities
- Coordinate copy composition, or generate copy composition, for social media and internal communications materials
- Support cultural initiatives in partnership with the HR team
- Partner closely with community outreach committees ensuring content from those efforts are included in internal and external materials
- Support the broader communications and governance team efforts as needed for additional responsibilities and projects as they arise
- Interact and engage with social media postings generating increased traffic
- Track and report social media progress, traffic, and engagement efforts
Required Qualification & Skills - 4-6+ years of relevant work experience in communications or relevant area
- Proficient in LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Excel in PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and visualization tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Tableau, Power BI)
- Proficient in Canva and/or graphic design tools and techniques
- Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively, facilitate discussions, influence effectively and develop relationships; problem solve, drive efforts and projects and delegate appropriate tasks to collaborators and follow-up as needed to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, proactive, and responsive, highly organized, results-oriented, and attentive to detail
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects
- Expert attention to detail
