Job description
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled Tax Manager to join their team in Lafayette LA. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax advice and support to clients in the financial services industry. They will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including banks, insurance companies, and investment firms. This will require staying up-to-date with tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance for your clients.
This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tax, with experience working in the financial services industry. A deep understanding of tax laws and regulations is essential, along with the ability to provide strategic tax advice to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tax advice and support to clients in the financial services industry
- Stay up-to-date with tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance for clients
- Assist clients with tax planning, consulting, and advisory projects
- Conduct research on tax-related issues and provide recommendations to clients
- Analyze financial data to identify tax optimization opportunities
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as lawyers and accountants, to ensure comprehensive tax solutions for clients
- Prepare and review tax returns and other tax-related documents
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification in tax (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including experience with the relevant legislation
- Proven ability to provide strategic tax advice to clients
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with professionals from different disciplines
