Job description
WaferWire is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, who will contribute to work with Public Sector agencies with how they can leverage the breadth of the Azure Cloud to address a range of digital transformation initiatives including general government services, policy analysis, education K-12, fraud detection, digital evidence, citizen services etc.
Role: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Remote, US (Eastern Time Zone Preferred)
The team's objective is to select and integrate technologies to develop industry accelerators tailored for Public Sector customers and partners, facilitating their adoption of Azure Cloud. This role entails engaging with Public Sector agencies to showcase how Azure Cloud can address various digital transformation initiatives, such as government services, education, fraud detection, and citizen services. The position primarily involves coding and heads-down work, with a focus on leveraging Azure Cloud capabilities. It offers the opportunity to collaborate with a global team of senior-level architects, exploring and implementing cutting-edge AI technologies like Service Fabric, CoPilots and AI & ML technologies.
Job Description:
- We are looking for a senior Azure full stack developer to join our team and work on exciting projects that leverage the latest technologies (Azure Cloud services, Cognitive Services, Azure Open AI Service, ChatGPT, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric etc.) and best practices.
- You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying cloud-based applications using Azure services and frameworks. You will also collaborate with other developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of Industry Accelerators for our Public Sector customers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable applications using Azure technologies such as App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Cosmos DB, Parquet files, etc.
- Implement front-end features using Typescript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Integrate with external APIs and services
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using best practices and standards.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing
- Deploy and monitor applications using Azure DevOps & GitHub Actions,
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues using debugging tools, logs, and metrics.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and trends to improve existing solutions and propose new ones.
- Document and communicate technical designs, architectures, and decisions.
Top 3 Skills -
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with hands-on knowledge of MSFT Azure Cloud Cognitive / AI Services and database technologies
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with hands to keyboard with Python, C, C++, C#, React, Terraform, BICEP
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with agile Development Processes / Azure Dev Ops
