Job Description Summary
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (to and from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
- A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Manage and facilitate calls with external and internal project managers.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Sourcing teams to enable the shop to achieve On Time Delivery.
- Accurate Cost and cycle estimating.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 2 years of manufacturing or materials management and planning (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing or Materials Management and planning .
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with SAP ERP system.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Planning / Customer fulfillment background is an advantage
- Lean or Six Sigma certified.
- Ability to understand and read manufacturing drawings, schematics, blueprints.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Established project management skills. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. T his position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
