Job description

AppleCare’s Support Programs User Experience team is seeking an experienced UX designer to create solutions that increase Customer satisfaction, drive cost savings and foster innovation for both Apple employees and Customers. The ideal candidate knows how to align business strategy with human-computer interaction and usability methodologies. Use your knowledge to define end-to-end task and transactional focused user experiences that both satisfy and delight users.

As a User Experience lead you will be involved in several areas of user experience design including: business & user needs analysis, user interviews, journey mapping, low fidelity prototyping (wire-framing), usability testing, and following deployment, monitoring and measuring adoption success. Your time at work will be a mixture of concepting, prototyping, presenting, and debating ideas and solutions within a broadly skilled project team and the UX design team. Responsibilities will include: Drive the alignment of business requirements, user centered design methodology and technologies to create highly usable solutions within a variety of Support channels. Design workflows for skilled users performing concurrent, complex tasks. Create mission-critical workflows with accompanying user interfaces that can be successfully used with a minimum of user confusion or error. Incorporate accessibility best practices, localization, scalability, and ease of maintenance in all solutions. Define and demonstrate best in class user experiences that reflect Apple’s Human Interface and Information Technology standards. Act as a user experience evangelist and a catalyst for positive change within diversely skilled project teams. Engage business and technical team stakeholders for feedback and validation. Assist with validating and measuring user experience success via usability testing and post deployment evaluations. Effectively communicate project status to senior management on a regular basis.

Education & Experience

Background in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Computer Science, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 5+ years professional experience.
