Job Description:

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings):

Security Incident Responder

Perform information security analysis related duties to act as the front line for Akamai customers against network and attack-related events. Engage in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks. Perform advanced packet analysis to identify attacks and threats to our network. Manage and document technical issues, responses and requests to ensure information is recorded and updated. Provide support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues. Communicate with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the United States. [AG0905]

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or Information Technology and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or closely related information security role.

Must have: One (1) year of experience in the following: firewalls; software patches; software updates and uninstalling; hardware install or replacement; and IT change management.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $77626-$86442/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
