Berkeley County is West Virginia's fastest growing county, and the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority is growing too! We are a 911 EMS agency and the sole provider of emergency medical services for the county apart from the City of Martinsburg. We operate 10 units daily across 6 stations and respond to about 15,000 calls for service every year. We pride ourselves in maintaining a modern fleet, equipment, and facilities along with high quality training provided to our staff monthly to help our clinicians continue to grow.

Compensation: Job Overview

The primary duty for this role is direct patient care in the 911 EMS setting. The EMT-B is the entry level care position for field staff which focuses primarily on Basic Life Support services and supporting Paramedics during the treatment of acutely ill or injured patients. The AEMT is the second level of this certification and are able to independently treat and transport higher acuity patients in the absence of Paramedic care. The schedule for this position is two 24 hour shifts per week which equals 96 hours per 2 week pay period. The BCEAA schedule is 24/48 rotation with a Kelly day every 7 shifts.
