Health and Safety Specialist | Harrisburg, PA | Hybrid Position
Join Compliance Management International and work alongside Commonwealth of Pennsylvania agencies to ensure safety program compliance and reduce workplace injuries. This role, based in Harrisburg, focuses on the Public Safety Delivery Center and includes the Department of Corrections, State Police and Pennsylvania Parole Board.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize service requests, utilizing agency action plans to meet target dates and production goals.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training, adapting materials to agency needs and delivering sessions in-person or via webinar.
- Conduct assessments, audits, and incident investigations in line with safety programs and agency policies.
- Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations for injury data and trend analysis.
- Support injury/illness prevention, safety, industrial hygiene, and AIPP compliance.
- Work independently to provide on-site health and safety support, transferring knowledge to agency personnel.
- Collaborate in a team environment, understanding and adapting to client needs, building strong relationships, and promoting a safety culture.
Required Skills and Experience:
- B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or B.S. in any field with PA L&I BWC AIPP Qualification. (Accident and Illness Prevention Program)
- Minimum of 5 years of occupational safety experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong assessment, verbal, and written communication skills.
