In this role you will be responsible for managing key aspects of Semiconductor based components and products such as Processors and Logic Boards that are used in various Apple products!
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years engineering experience in the areas of CPU, GPU, SoC, DRAM/NAND, Power and FETs from concept to EOL. Familiarity with circuit and system design, and manufacturing processes and test.
- Experience in Silicon analog and digital circuit design and validation, schematic tools and methodologies preferred
- Wafer Fab technology manufacturing in areas of Process Integration, Yield Engineering, Fab Quality, Process Engineering
- Assembly/Backend manufacturing experience for SiP, multi-chip modules, SoC, WLCSPs, FC technologies, molded packages
- Test engineering experience in areas of system-level test (SLT), ATE hardware and test program development. Familiar with test strategies: In-Circuit Testing, board functional tests, and industry standard test methodologies such as JTAG.
- Understanding of infant mortality and intrinsic/extrinsic reliability fails, reliability assessment and hands on experience in driving resolution
- Hands on experience in driving closure of multiple quality issues and excursions in current or previous roles
- Demonstrate strength in technical and analytical problem-solving skills for Silicon design, Fabrication, Package and Test related quality issues
- Supporting vendors component qualification, manufacturing quality systems and methods, PCN control, Material Review Board for lot disposition, and audits
- Support internal engineering and management teams in component and test related failure analysis and defining corrective actions
- Experience in semiconductor component and package qualification tests, design & manufacture of systems, PCBAs, assembly, and test Industry leadership (such as ASQ) and consumer electronics experience is preferred
Description
Design and technology quality validation in manufacturing or on bench-level
Deep technical debug and feedback to cross functional teams. Responsible for creating scalable reports of Vendor issues that will be presented to Leadership team
Perform vendor technical management, including design change reviews, qualification, circuit debug, 8D FA reports, DOEs, bring up fab/assembly/test sites and conduct audits
Driving debug & failure analysis with Silicon Engineering, Electrical Engineering Product Design, Component Engineering, Test, and DFM operations.
Participate in qualification of new components and their integration into PCBA design. Enable new product introductions with the highest technical quality and Lead quality improvement teams to improve field performance and DPPM reduction.
Communication of end-to-end test coverage requirements, from component to PCBA to System test requirements and specifications
Perform statistical analysis to determine disposition for components that do not meet required specifications. Develop systemic yield improvements and reporting to cross-functional teams.
Monitor DPPM in mass production and drive x-functional teams and vendors for DPPM reduction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Education & Experience
BS/MS/PhD in Engineering desired

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $188,000.00 and $282,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
