Job Description Summary
The Lead Field Services Engineer - IVVI provides technical direction and oversight of In Vessel Visual Inspection (IVVI) activities during Nuclear Power Plant Inspection Projects. The primary function of the field engineer will be to prepare complex robotic tooling for deployment to nuclear inspection outages. The Lead Field Engineer is also responsible to support development of processes, techniques and tooling to meet business needs. This position will also deliver new and or existing tooling, to customer sites while fulfilling an IVVI technician or lead engineer role.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible to support planning of GEH project schedule and delivery and provide task leadership, technical direction, work coordination and supervision of work teams composed of GEH and contingent worker personnel.
- Establish appropriate relationships and interact effectively with senior level customer and supplier management on commercial, technical & compliance issues and work within an integrated services team.
- Support business activities including inspection tooling and technique development, Commercial Operations and Planning & Staffing and Training.
- Perform duties and complete assignments while maintaining GEH standards for integrity, safety and quality..
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a discipline related to Non Destructive Evaluation OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear inspection activities
- Minimum of 5 years of nuclear industry related experience (Nuclear Services Outage Work).
Eligibility Requirements
- The required work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC (relocation assistance provided)
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% domestically and internationally.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day
- Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical
- Ability to pass Fitness For Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access
- Ability and willingness to work in radiation-controlled areas and radioactively contaminated areas
Desired Characteristics
- Experience operating and repairing GEH IVVI tooling
- Familiar with GEH Inventory processes.
- Certified RST level II
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Experience and knowledge around BWR reactor internals and GEH automated inspection equipment
- Demonstrated leadership of field teams working at customer sites
- Knowledge of GE Nuclear / GE Energy products, processes, customers, markets and competition
- Strong Communication Skills and Customer Centric Attitude
- Strong Leadership / Presentation / PC skills
- Proven leadership capabilities with ability to motivate others and achieve results
- Ability to work under high stress conditions
