About the Job The Engaged Grants Program Manager supports the management of
community engaged grants sponsored by the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) community engagement core known as CEARCH
(Community Engagement to Advance Research and Community Health), through program coordination, grants management, evaluation, data
management and partner engagement. CEARCH advances solutions to health issues important to all Minnesota communities by supporting
bidirectional, authentic, research partnerships that address health inequities. This role supports all aspects of the grant making work of
CEARCH including administering, monitoring, and coordinating two community engaged research grant mechanisms and facilitating the support of
community and academic grantee partners. This position works under the direction of the CEARCH Assistant Director and functions
collaboratively to assist in CEARCH program and administrative planning and program implementation.
This role is hybrid, requiring
1-2 in-office days per week, with Wednesdays as our current in-office day. The expected salary range is
$65,000-$70,000.
Job Duties (60%) Grantmaking program management - Provide
project management and administrative management for CEARCH Engaged Grantmaking Workgroup which provides oversight and direction for the
grant process.
- Manage CEARCH grant-making processes in coordination with internal partners including RFA development/updates,
proposal submissions/review/selection processes, grantee notification, orientation, team check ins and relationship
building.
- Coordinate continuous improvement measures by tracking and monitoring funded projects, coordinating with CTSI Finance and
Clinical Research Support Center staff to ensure that all required budgetary, regulatory, and reporting processes are
completed.
- Organize, co-design and co-implement grantee orientation and networking meetings/events, in collaboration with CEARCH
Engaged Grantmaking Workgroup.
- Develop and implement respectful communication with grantees regarding expectations, program changes,
availability of CTSI services, and funding and dissemination opportunities and respond to inquiries and requests from grantees as
needed.
- Leverage CTSI, CEARCH and other groups and resources to support grantees.
- Analyze project and program data to inform
and recommend program improvements to community and university stakeholders on programmatic activities.
- Assist with technical
assistance and consultations to potential CEARCH grant applicants, including partner matching for collaborative
projects.
(25%) Community outreach and communications - Prepare presentations and assemble informational
materials for professional and lay audiences.
- Interact with and foster collaborative relationships with faculty, staff and community
members to plan and implement CEARCH programs.
- Coordinate with CTSI Communications on promotion of grant opportunities and
highlighting grantee successes.
- Represent CEARCH at relevant external community events, and internal workgroups and
consortia.
(15%) Evaluation and Reporting - Collaborate in the development of reports, publications, and
presentations on CEARCH program implementation and outcomes, including on annual reporting to NIH funders.
- Collect quantitative and
qualitative data to measure project progress, outcomes, and partnership processes by analyzing grantee reports, conducting interviews,
periodic check-ins, surveys, and searches for publications.
- Monitor progress of grants and make recommendations for improvements in
consultation with CEARCH leadership, e.g, sustaining partnership and work over time; potential next steps.
- Create and maintain
dashboards and data visualization processes with different software (i.e. Smartsheets and Tableau) to monitor and evaluate program progress
and outcomes by maintaining CEARCH databases, implementing data tracking and monitoring processes.
- Work with CEARCH and CTSI
Monitoring and Evaluation team to coordinate data collection and reporting on identified metrics and assure that all data elements are
collected, entered and transmitted accurately.. The expected salary range is . (60%) Grantmaking program management
