HN - Full-Time Live-Out Bilingual Nanny - Coral Gables, FL

British American Household Staffing

Location

Coral Gables, FL | United States

Job description

A 2-parent executive and outgoing and adventurous family in Miami/Coral Gables, FL is seeking a full-time live-out bilingual Nanny for their baby who will be approximately 6-months-old at time of job start. They are looking for a dedicated, experienced, well-rounded, dynamic Mary Poppins nanny/governess to take ownership of all things baby and eventually child-related within the family unit! Parents will play active roles as well but lead busy executive lives that require support in other areas of life. They also have a home in Los Angeles and NYC they spend time in and otherwise travel fairly extensively throughout the year; while traveling, the role can be live-in.

The family is open to a candidate relocating for this role so the candidate to hire does not need to currently reside in Florida. This role is live-out and an apartment off-site will be provided for the candidate to hire.

The schedule will easily and generally be a 50 hour work week running on either a Sunday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Saturday schedule beginning in the mornings at 9 or 10AM - depending on work schedule. The family does travel often and when traveling the nanny will perhaps work longer hours and will be paid a daily travel rate and in instances when working an overnight, an overnight rate as well. Their international travel includes St. Barts in March, 3-6 weeks of travel in Europe over the summer, and holidays in the Carolinas or Aspen among other places.

Job duties for this role include all care for the baby, eventual baby meal prep when eating solids, eventually taking baby to age-appropriate classes (family will provide vehicle for work purposes), taking baby for walks, sleep-training, overseeing tummy-time/developmental milestones, reading to baby, etc. As the child grows, music and activity classes as well as educational and extracurricular activities will be a part of the day and any chance the role has to positively influence the child's development is welcome and expected. The housekeeper can take care of the baby's laundry and washing/sanitizing bottles, but nevertheless, the candidate to hire will be expected to help with some of these duties as needed so should expect to have that pitch-in attitude that remains flexible and helpful. There is 1 small hypoallergenic dog in the home as well as other staff members with roles not necessarily associated with the child.

The nanny to hire will need to speak a second language besides English, preferably French but the family is open to other languages as well. The ideal candidate for this role is a nanny who has 10+ years of experience, will assume responsibility, be nimble, be receptive to feedback with how family desires things to be done while at the same time taking initiative that is gleaned from the candidate's years of experience. The candidate to hire must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record and must be caught up on all immunizations (such as Tdap + flu shot; COVID-vaccine not necessary for this role).

The family is hoping to find an extended family member who will stay with them long term and so benefits for this role include fully paid medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401k with match and vesting schedule, 2+ weeks' paid vacation, and some major holidays off and paid when not falling on a day when traveling with the family. Other staff members have shown longevity in other roles with the family and although they work hard, they are a team who loves the family and each other.

You must be legal to work in the US and have a US Passport, Green card, or EAC to apply for this role. If you are interested in this position, please apply to HN196.
