Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. As an integral part of our organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure the accuracy of invoices, apply correct pricing structures, and correspond with clients to resolve any billing related issues. To thrive in this role, you must be extremely organized, detail oriented, and able to work at a fast pace. Salary Range: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain positive relationships with customers by investigating and resolving billing discrepancies, disputes, and irregularities, ensuring prompt and accurate solutions.
• Generate and comprehend billing reports and summaries to provide insights to management regarding financial performance and areas for improvement.
• Process recurring reports to track revenue, broken down by service and customer.
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile invoices with corresponding sales or service records to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare credit memos or refunds for billing errors, returns, or overpayments.
• Maintain organized and compliant records of invoices, payments, and client communication, adhering to retention policies.
• Comprehend billing tasks to a mastery level, allowing you to explain tasks to others and recognize areas of potential improvement.
• Assist with documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
• Ensure all billing tasks are completed within established timeframes, including month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Provide support in the Accounts Receivable process as needed.
• Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• 0-2 years’ experience
• Knowledge of general accepted accounting and auditing practices and principles
• Outstanding organization and planning abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exceptional problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience utilizing Power BI for financial and accounting analysis

COVID-19 Requirements

• Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more
