Job Description:

Paul Hobbs Winery, a grower and producer of luxury Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay, seeks a proactive and success driven individual to join their Operations team. Excellent analytical aptitude, strategic problem solving, and a positive attitude are paramount.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for providing companywide analytical and budgetary support for finance and accounting operations and leading all business forecasting.

This position includes a full benefits package including paid time off, paid company holidays, insurance (health, dental, vision) and 401k with company match.
Examples of responsibilities:
1. Financial reporting and analysis:
a. Adaptive Insights system administrator.
b. Facilitates and drives annual budget planning.
c. Monthly income reporting and related activities: derive and maintain a comprehensive company dashboard of ratios & metrics providing an analysis of expenses of measurable activities (i.e., budget vs. actual, work activity, headcount, acres, tons, etc.).
d. In conjunction with Controller, prepare monthly financials, cost center reviews, G/L reclass and troubleshooting. Provide stakeholders with timely, detailed, and meaningful insights and visibility on business performance.
e. Ensure accurate data migration between all software.

2. Vineyard and production:
a. Oversee grape weighmaster certificates for internal and external reporting.
b. Direct external production and sales reports.
c. Perform ROI analysis on all major projects or purchases and provide recommendation to stakeholders.

3. Administration and other analysis:
a. Lead and deliver Digital Finance transformation by identifying areas for technology adoption and streamlining.
b. Assists with complex spreadsheet building, analysis, and reporting.
c. Support senior leadership with special projects or ad-hoc analysis as needed.

Specific qualifications & skills:
1. Business: Comprehensive knowledge of winemaking/broad-market/3-tier distribution system. Demonstrated proficiency in budget performance analysis, forecasting and numerical presentations. Experience with high-level business intelligence tools required.
2. Analytical: Excellent analytical aptitude, strategic problem solving and decision-making skills. Proactive and able to identify opportunities and weaknesses and take corrective action. Ability to deal with several variables in standardized situations.
3. Communication: Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Communicates well in any form of media: articulate, concise, clear, and transparent.
4. Attitude: Cheerful, positive, considerate, creative, professional demeanor.
5. Success drive / work-ethic: Self-starter, able to manage rapidly changing priorities. Capable of working well under pressure. Anticipates, prepares, adapts, curious, organized, intuitive, relentless drive to excel.

Basic job requirements:
1. Undergraduate degree required. MBA preferred.
2. 5+ years in business analytical roles with demonstrated understanding of a working winery.
3. Advanced level Excel, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
4. Business Intelligence software (Adaptive) knowledge required. Enterprise Resource Planning software knowledge a plus.
5. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., or a 9L case of wine.
