Manufacturing Accountant - Cost Analysis

- Analyze and interpret manufacturing cost data, including direct labor, materials, and overhead expenses.
- Identify and investigate cost variances, working with production and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain standard cost models for manufactured components and assemblies.
- Prepare and present insightful cost reports and analyses to support informed decision-making by management.
- Participate in the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Partner with other departments, such as Purchasing and Inventory Control, to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Stay current with accounting principles and industry best practices for manufacturing cost management.
You're a great fit for this role if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
