Job description
Tiny Steps Learning Center is looking for a Full-Time Daycare Center Director (Bilingual English/Spanish).
Reports to:
Basic Function:
To implement the mission of the organization by establishing policies and procedures, and funding sources. Daily oversee assigned finances and the instructional curricula aspects of the early childhood education program.
Experience:
- Early Childhood Education: 1-year minimum (2 years preferred).
Qualifications:
- Possess the necessary state educational requirements - a minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Education or specifically Early Childhood Education.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- A 1-year minimum (preferably 2) in a management position at childcare or preschool.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or Google suite apps.
- Submit various background checks including those completed through the Department of Human Services.
- Be CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified or obtain certification upon hire.
- Complete a Tuberculosis test and physical.
- Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Including, but not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement the mission of the organization.
- Develop an effective relationship with parents and stakeholders.
- Maintain licensing requirements.
- Supervise staff/volunteers and maintain a professional relationship with the community and associated entities.
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate all educational programs of the school.
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination, and review of employees.
- Supervise and control all business affairs of the organization.
- Manage deeds, bonds, contracts, and all other legal issues.
- Prepare long-range plans and goals to include financial aspects of the organization.
- Develop long-range plans for new programs, restructure existing programs and adopt new procedures for programs throughout the organization.
- Prepare budgets, acquisitions, and expenditures for early childhood programs.
- Represent the organization at a formal presentation in a professional manner.
- Supervising the implementation of budgets including utilizing accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Plan and schedule all meetings for staff components.
- Contract services from vendors and consultants to services programs.
- Schedule ongoing training for staff evaluations, conflict resolutions, and staff motivation.
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination, and review of all personnel.
- Develop and maintain a program for sound employee relations with personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Provide guidance and direction to management employees to assist in their professional development.
- Must possess strong teamwork ethics and encourage all staff to work within this setting.
