You’ll assist with forward planning, ensuring job site cleanliness, and coordinating home preparation for move-in. Responsibilities:
- I will assist in construction management
- I will review and understand the project plans, specifications and the building schedule
- I will promptly advise the Project Manager of errors and/or problems in the plans and specifications
- I will communicate to the Project Manager the project schedule
- I will work with the Project Manager to update the construction schedule
- I will promptly advise the Project Manager if the project is deviating significantly from the construction schedule
- I will assist in arranging for the timely delivery of materials
- I will assist in determining the manpower and equipment requirements to maintain the current schedule for both the Company and the trade contractors
- I will assist in directing all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship
- I will review the project with the Project Manager
- I will have weekly meetings with the Project Manager
- I will assist in scheduling all required inspections to ensure the continual progression of the project
- I will assist in supervising trade contractors and ensure that the contractors are conforming to the plans and specifications
- I will assist in inspecting the quality of the contractors’ work
- I will assist in the completion of the punch list and follow through with the completion of the items listed
- I will assist in the completion of the pre-occupancy checklist
- I will assist in encouraging safe work practices and rectifying job site hazards immediately
- I will assist in ensuring all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy
- I will assist in maintaining the entire job site, including the office and model home
- I will assist in maintaining good working relationships with the customer, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
- I will provide a positive company image
- I will maintain good relations with other employees
Qualifications:
- Excellent team, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple demands, priorities and projects at one time
- Attention to detail and project management skills
- Works well under pressure and adheres to timelines without sacrificing safety or quality
- Ability to delegate and follow up on tasks with sub-contractors and other vendors working on-site
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel; able to key information timely and accurately
- Exceptional customer service skills
