Job description

The Analyst is tasked with conducting various industry analyses and constructing the framework of all major deal materials. Analysts are required to produce standardized firm materials as well as ad-hoc projects for Associates and other senior M&A professionals.

  1. Providing analytical, due diligence and transactional support for M&A, capital raising, restructuring, and other business assignments
  2. Developing pitch books and detailed presentation materials for clients, prospective clients, and transaction targets
  3. Analyzing data to assist current or prospective clients on actual or prospective transactions and strategies 
  4. Preparing complex financial analyses, reports, and models to evaluate various operating and transaction scenarios, as well as projecting the potential outcome of such scenarios
  5. Performing valuation analyses using discounted cash flows, public market and M&A comparable transaction multiples, and dilution analyses
  6. Researching potential buyers/investors, potential targets, market trends, and transaction opportunities 
  7. Participating in all stages of a transaction process, from the pitch through deal closing, including attending and traveling to client presentations and meetings 
  8. Utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on a daily basis
  9. Performing such other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  1. Investment banking (or related: private equity, transaction services, lending/banking) internship experience is a plus
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, research, and time management skills
  3. Strong quantitative and technical skills with financial modeling training and/or experience
  4. Creative mindset with ability to distill complex concepts into simple and elegant presentation 
  5. Able to learn quickly, multi-task, adapt to new assignments, and sometimes work long hours independently and in teams 
  6. Solid understanding of manufacturing industry, capital markets, spreadsheet modeling, and financial statement analysis
  7. Personable team player, with the ability to gain the confidence and trust of both colleagues and clients

This position requires a B.A. / B.S. degree (GPA of 3.0 or higher) in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or similar concentration. Any FINRA licenses, CFA charters, and other industry-specific designations is a plus.
