Job description
Job Title: Physician - Family Medicine - Obstetrics
Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician specializing in Family Medicine with Obstetrics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible (with plans to become Board Certified within 1 year of employment) or Board Certified in Family Medicine and OB Fellowship-trained (to be completed prior to start). This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care and obstetric services to patients in a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment. Candidates with experience and interest in performing C-sections are highly desired.
Requirements:
- Board Eligible (with plans to become Board Certified within 1 year of employment) or Board Certified in Family Medicine.
- Iowa medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- OB Fellowship-trained (to be completed prior to start).
- Demonstrated ability and interest in performing C-sections.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Offer prenatal, obstetric, and postpartum care to pregnant patients, including prenatal screenings, childbirth preparation, and postpartum follow-up.
- Perform deliveries, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections, as appropriate based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, nurses, midwives, and specialists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, including breastfeeding support and newborn care.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and continuing medical education activities to stay current with advancements in family medicine and obstetrics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all established protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
