Job description
Sev1Tech is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intermediate Logistician to join our logistics team. As an Intermediate Logistician, you will play a key role in coordinating and optimizing the logistical aspects of our operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management: Manage and coordinate the supply chain process, including procurement, transportation, and distribution. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.
- Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, tracking stock levels, and conducting regular audits. Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory while maintaining sufficient stock to meet operational needs.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. Monitor contracts, monitor performance, and address any issues to ensure the quality and reliability of the supply chain.
- Logistical Planning: Develop and implement logistical plans to support ongoing and upcoming projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics with overall project timelines and goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies. Pro-actively address challenges related to transportation, procurement, and distribution to ensure continuity of operations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of logistical activities. Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, logistics costs, and inventory levels.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing logistics and supply chain management. Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Must have a SECRET level clearance
- Associate's degree
- 4 years of proven experience as a Logistician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles, supply chain processes, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Familiarity with industry-standard logistics tools and technologies.
- Experience in a logistics role within a relevant industry.
