Job description
The Medical Assistant performs both clinical and administrative duties that directly support efficient clinic flow, effective and safe clinic operations, and excellent patient experience. The Medical Assistant supports patient care by taking medical histories, accurately capturing and documenting patient vital signs, requesting and updating patient medical records, filing communicating with patients, and providing documentation for patients or members of the healthcare team while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. The Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities may vary based on state regulations .
Clinic hours are 3pm-11pm (weekdays) and 11am-9pm (weekends)
BACK OFFICE: Monday-Friday staff arrives @ 2:45 pm - 11:00 pm--until last patient leaves
Saturday-Sunday staff arrives @ 10:45 am - 9:00 pm--until last patient leaves
FRONT OFFICE: Monday-Friday staff arrives @ 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm--until last patient leaves
Saturday-Sunday, staff arrives @ 10:30 am - 9:00 pm--until last patient leaves
Education Level: Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required. MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year dependent on state requirements.
Experience Years: 1+ years’ experience in office-based setting preferred.
