Responsibilities
Database Administrator (Sr DBA) is to develop and maintain the corporate databases ensuring data integrity, security, retention, and recoverability of the data.
PostgreSQL DBA will design, build, test, and deploy quality database solutions that are consistent with project objectives, technology architecture standards and departmental best practices. Change management including maintenance of multiple development, test, QA, and production environments. Responsible for deploying approved changes to production.
24x7 rotational on-call support, including driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Preventative action follow-though, and participation in weekly operations reviews.
Requirements:
Must have 8+ years DBA working experience with PostgreSQL 9.6+ version and good understanding of Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in managing PostgreSQL on multiple operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux (RHEL) and Kubernetes in OpenShift platform
Experienced in setting up PostgreSQL clusters and supporting databases cluster in on-prem and hybrid cloud environment, and specifically in AWS RDS instance.
Strong skills in UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting
