About the Role:

Depending on your location within the continental US, this position may offer hybrid or remote work arrangements. If you reside within 50 miles of our offices in Columbus, GA, or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid, requiring in-office presence for at least 60% of the work week. For those living beyond this radius, the position will be fully remote, with occasional office visits based on business needs.

Key Qualifications:

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, with VBA/macro experience preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP, BW, Workiva, or similar accounting/financial software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and FASB, particularly in insurance or investment accounting.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated competencies in consulting, change management, and project management.

Education & Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Six years of professional experience in investments or related accounting/reporting, including project management.
- Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CFA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is desirable.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct SOX testing and ensure timely maintenance of SOX documentation for compliance.
- Analyze and account for new investment vehicles.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in Investments general accounting activities.
- Interpret and implement new FASB and SSAP regulations.
- Act in a senior capacity, providing guidance to junior team members.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements.
- Lead or participate in strategic initiatives and project teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with business partners.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Total Rewards:
