Job description

Full-time: $50,000 - $55,000 + Benefits Reports to Director of Youth and Community Initiatives 4 days in office & 1 day remote 9AM - 5PM workday (occassional evening & weekend hours and travel) Responsibilities Administrative Support: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks related to the AmeriCorps program; Facilitate the recruitment, enrollment, and training of AmeriCorps members; Provide ongoing support to members ensuring a positive experience; Collaborate with HR to manage personnel matters related to AmeriCorps members; Ensure compliance with program guidelines, policies, regulations, and audits; Coordinate logistics for AmeriCorps member service activities, events, and training sessions; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of member documentation; Support the department’s programming and initiatives, as needed; Member Experience and Retention: Develop strategies to enhance the overall experience of AmeriCorps members; Provide individualized support and coaching to participants, including one-on-one and group sessions to build resiliency, self-sufficiency, self-esteem, and work toward personal goals; Implement retention initiatives to ensure members complete their terms of service; Assist members with professional development and educational opportunities; Work closely with CJI staff to align AmeriCorps activities with organizational objectives; Community Outreach and Networking: Collaborate with internal departments to integrate AmeriCorps members into existing initiatives; Plan and execute community events and service projects; Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract AmeriCorps member applicants; Represent the program at community meetings, conferences, and events; Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and potential program partners; Attend networking events to promote the program and establish connections within the community; Additional tasks as necessary. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in youth development, workforce development and/or program implementation; Previous experience in program management; Strong organizational and administrative skills; Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; Familiarity with AmeriCorps programs and regulations (preferred),and; Proficient in data management and reporting.
