About the role 

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in helping our customers to adopt Spacelift. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise to our customers on our product but also the adjacent technologies such as Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevOps, VCS, and Cloud providers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of these technologies and a proven track record of designing and delivering complex solutions.

You will work closely with our Sales team to understand customer requirements and design solutions that address their unique needs. You will collaborate with our Engineering team to ensure that the solutions we deliver are reliable, scalable, and secure. You will partner with our Customer Success team to help keeping our customers happy and expand their business.

What will you do

• Design and implement solutions that leverage Spacelift to meet customer needs.
• Serve as a technical expert and advisor to our customers on our product as well as the adjacent technologies Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevOps, VCS, and Cloud providers.
• Work with customers to understand their business and technical requirements.
• Develop and deliver technical content, including presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, workshops, and proofs-of-concepts.
• Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on our product, competition, emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Act as a domain expert and escalation path for Solutions and Support Engineers to help them be successful in their roles.
• Partner with the Customer Success team to identify and manage customer risks and opportunities to optimize product adoption, renewal, and expansion.
• Assist in technical due diligence activities, including technical discovery, technical value proposition, and architectural guidance.
• Collaborate with the Product team to translate customer business needs into technical solutions and new product requirements.
• Help with booth duty and meet with prospects and customers at conferences.

About You

• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, a senior DevOps Engineer, or a similar position.
• Hands-on experience and deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation), CI/CD, VCS, and DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible) technologies and associated concepts, tools and best practices.
• Extensive experience with one or more of the main Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certifications are a plus.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions for internal or external customers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience creating technical content.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with software development is a plus.
