Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data visualization and assurance, and ground stations. SDL is seeking a
Software DevSecOps Engineer that has demonstrated experience in managing DevSecOps pipelines.
Key Responsibilities: - Work with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure this system is designed, built, and fielded.
- Work with development to modernize the architecture of existing software applications
- Design, implement, and manage DevSecOps pipeline tooling from end-to-end. Following established SDL, government, and industry standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of DevSecOps and Computer software development
- Experience with an object-oriented language (e.g., C++, C#, Java, or Python)
- Experience with Virtual Machines and containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Virtual Box, VMWare)
- Experience with Windows & Linux system administration
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tooling including build, test, code scanning, deployment
- Understanding of continuous monitoring, security scans, identity management, PKI
- Ability to lead and mentor others
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to present ideas and concepts effectively
- Able to work independently and with team members
- Experience utilizing software design patterns and software configuration management
- Experience with Agile and Lean software development methodologies
- Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiar with government DevSecOps best practices
- Experience with both cloud and on-prem development
- Experience working with Cyber Security processes
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Software quality assurance
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
