Our Robert Half client is a dedicated non-profit organization here in Tucson. They strive to make a meaningful impact in our community and beyond. As their Accountant you will be responsible for the following.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, budget reports, and cash flow projections.
+ Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payment of employee salaries and benefits.
+ Monitor grant funding and prepare financial reports for donors and funding agencies.
+ Collaborate with the executive team to develop annual budgets and financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
+ Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
RequirementsQualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus
+ Proven experience working as an accountant, preferably in a non-profit or similar setting.
+ Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
