Job Description

The Project Manager has a key role to the successful delivery of the Wiper Systems. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage organization of various client projects.

With us you can work with local or global projects where you lead an international multi-disciplinary project team and work through the various phases of the project. Creating structure and team spirit, as well motivating and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

The Project Manager identifies the project's objectives and scope, and which activities will deliver the desired results. You will create plans and schedules tasks, and resources required, oversees day-to-day execution, and monitors progress to ensure that the project stays on track within the designated budget and timeline from start to finish, manage risks and issues, and identifies lessons learned for improvement in future projects. You will report to a management level responsible for the business success of their project outcomes. The Project Manager is a key interface between the Automotive Customer and the Project Team and negotiates project trade-offs internally and with customer.

Objectives

Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation

Lead projects and engineering changes from requirements definition through industrialization, identifying objectives, scopes, schedules, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation

Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget

Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met

Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes

Responsibilities

• Lead project team and orchestrate project and engineering changes work to achieve goals
• Establish the project management plan based on the project charter, integrating lessons learned from other projects
• Implement the project management plan together with the project team; assume target responsibility for the project team members to the extent of their involvement in the project
• Proactively manage the risks / uncertainties that matter in the project context
• Additional department responsibilities include on time customer approval for ratio projects and engineering changes including design changes, replacement, and capacity tooling.
• Make decisions within the approved project management plan
• Decide on the use of the approved project budget within the approved project management plan
• Escalate decision needs beyond the project management plan to the project sponsor or steering committee
• Support internal and external audits & customer visits

Qualifications

• Educational background, in the fields of Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Electronics, or Industrial engineering or similar
• Fluent English - able to negotiate with native speakers
• Project Management (7 Years Minimum) preferred focus on GM Projects
• Automotive Industry (7 Year Minimum)
• Highly motivated self-starter with leadership skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adjust to changing situations
• Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
• Good organizational skills
• Solid communication skills for internal and external customers, able to summarize complex thoughts
• Ability to build commitment within the team
• Ability to work under pressure without burn out
• Willingness to travel for training and project work
• Risk based project management experience
• Problem solving aptitude including resolution of process and technical issues
• Experience working with GM: SupplyPower, Covisint, and eSupplier Connect
