Position Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grants Manager to oversee the administration of our organization's grants program. The Grants Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of grants, from proposal development and submission to post-award reporting and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of grant funding mechanisms, excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Schedule: Full time
Travel: Employee is expected to travel approximately three times per year
Responsibilities
Proposal Development & Management:
- Write, review, and edit grant proposals and reports.
- Manage grants calendar to ensure compliance with grant cycle deadlines.
- Work in consultation with program leaders to draft budgets that meet specific RFP (Request for Proposal) requirements.
- Work with fundraising relationship holders and program staff to understand implementation possibilities that align with the grant opportunities.
- Craft award letters and letters of agreement as needed.
- Project manage up to eight stakeholders for any proposal or report to include international staff.
Research & Outreach:
- Research prospective funders and generate leads for President, Director of Transformational Giving, and Director of Development on a monthly basis.
- Work with President, Director of Transformational Giving, and Director of Development to maintain positive relationships with funders, keeping a pulse on changes in funder interests or grant cycle processes.
Reporting & Administration:
- Document all grant activities and funder information in Salesforce.
- Provide monthly reporting to the President, Director of Transformational Giving, and Director of Development on the status of proposals.
- Design reporting format processes and provide technical assistance to all appropriate staff to complete reports.
- Create and manage clear, consistent grant-related workflows and coordination with all internal constituents.
Communication & Support:
- Provide communication and marketing language and materials for personal funding contacts for Relationship holders, the Board of Directors, and others as requested.
- Assist with the strategy of grant-related decisions.
- Provide technical assistance to staff on leveraging grant funding for future resource development such as employee engagement, higher funding., etc.
- Provide programmatic, technical assistance on how to approach larger federal/state funding for US programs (e.g. Workforce Investment, DOL, etc.)
- Provide support for external events, such as the Summit, to craft interactive programming that invites introspection and action by participants.
- Collaborate with MEL on outcomes, KPIs, and other evaluation for grants.
- Develop a deep familiarity with Nomi Network programs, working closely with program staff to gather data and impact stories in order to prepare compelling narratives for proposals and reports.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of nonprofit grant-writing experience.
- Experience with varied types of institutional funders, including private foundations, corporate foundations, faith-based funders, and government grants.
- Excellent writing and copyediting skills.
- Experience with grant research and foundation prospecting.
- Proficiency with MS suite products. (Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- Grant Professional Association certification, or CFRE.
- Experience with international nonprofit organizations.
- Proficiency with Salesforce. (or comparable CRM software)
- Proficiency with Monday.com (or comparable project management system)
Physical Requirements:
- The position functions in a remote office environment that requires the ability to successfully interface with a computer.
- Sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally climbing stairs are typical activities in this role.
- Talking (expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word) and hearing (perceiving the nature of sounds) are required.
- Clarity of vision (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print) is required.
- The ability to travel and navigate through airports, etc., is required.
